I have another background tutorial for you all! I know it's been awhile. Eventually, I'll get through my massive list of backgrounds.
Today I'm going to show you how I do a dryer sheet background:
This background is pretty cool because it gives some texture and you can see the individual threads that make up the dryer sheet.
Here are the supplies you need:
🔸dryer sheets
🔸white card stock
🔸glimmer mists or spray colors
🔸a stencil
🔸mod podge
Because the dryer sheets are folded, you might want to stick your dryer sheet between a towel and iron it. I didn't bother because I knew the crease would come out eventually.
Step 1: Lay your dryer sheet on a protective work space and spray it with color:
Step 2: After its all colored, I think it's fun to spray a different color through a stencil.
Step 3: Let it dry.
(Be careful if you use a heat gun. Make sure it's far away, otherwise the dryer sheet will melt)
Step 4: Glue it to card stock.
Step 5: Cut it out and that's it!
Here is what I made from my background:
It's an atc I made for a "spring" swap.
Let me know if you have any questions.
