Eggs in a Basket

I made this journal page for the challenge blog Mixed Media Monthly:

Here's how I made it:

I made the background by spraying glimmer mists on some sheet music, then sponge painting some peralescent paint using a stencil:

I also printed out the eggs and painted them with acrylics and sparkle podge:

I printed out a weave pattern and cut it into a basket shape:

I also added some texture to the weave pattern by added gold glue gun glue:

I glued the eggs in place:

I drew the wording:

I outlined the eggs using a black alcohol pen:

I painted a pink scalloped edge:

I went around the scalloped edge with sparkle blue glue gun glue:

And that was it!
